Which weight should I choose?
The right mesh size largely depends on which pests you are dealing with. The 25g weight offers dependable protection against a wide variety of insects, making it versatile for use in fields or high tunnels.
If you're dealing with stronger winds or stormy conditions, the 47g weight adds extra durability. However, the 47g net has a larger mesh size, meaning it won’t exclude smaller pests like Thrips or Whiteflies, but it’s a sturdier option for harsher environments. Be sure to check the table in the tech specs below for more details on what each mesh size excludes.
Top Features

Usage Tips
Keys to success with ProtekNet
- Wire hoops are strongly recommended, otherwise insects can lay eggs on the foliage in contact with the net.
- If the ProtekNet gets damaged in some way, you can easily sew any holes or tears that develop over the years.
- You can expect to get 2-3 seasons or 4-5 seasons of use from the 25g and 47g netting respectively. Note that lifespan is approximate and conditional on storage, climate, and handling conditions. (Due to its thickness, the 25g netting is more delicate than the 47g)
