Say goodbye to open ends, bunched plastic cones, and crouching under plastic to access your veggies or flowers. The Zipper Door End Walls features a simple but durable design. Upgrade your Caterpillar Tunnel with this simple and affordable solution today! Kits include 1 end wall only. Compatible with the 14-ft and 16-ft wide Farmers Friend Caterpillar Tunnels, and the Haven High Tunnel.
We also offer a double-zipper end wall.
*Not compatible with Caterpillar Tunnel Max.
Single vs Double vs Framed End Walls
End walls don’t have to be fancy to be effective. Our Single Zipper Door offers our widest opening giving you easier access to your plants and increasing ventilation all at the same time. (Zipper can open all the way to the top of the tunnel except for 16' wide Gothic tunnels with a lift kit)
While our Double Zipper Door does have a smaller opening, it still features a very generous 84″ width and height for easy access to your tunnel. Plus the door neatly rolls up out of your way for even easier access.
The Framed Double Zipper Door takes the benefits of the Double Zipper Door and adds an end wall framing kit (minus 4 2x4s) that add strength and resilience to both your end wall and tunnel.
(Zipper Door End Walls are compatible with all Farmers Friend Tunnels, as long as you have a metal center purlin and wind bracing.

Zipper can't handle direct wind

Bought the single zipper end wall last season and the Ruben had it's first major storm with wind gusts up to 65mph early this season. It was a southerly wind and pushed directly on one end wall. The zipper stitching pulled apart from the plastic in three places on the right side leaving me with a plastic flap at the bottom and a couple of holes higher up. Attempted to patch it in a hurry with canvas patch tape, nothin doing. Can't afford a new end wall especially if this is what I can expect. Love the tunnel otherwise but for $300+ I expected more from the end wall.
Just more plastic garbage

I installed the door this past week but haven't been able to put the main plastic over the 25' tunnel. I put pavers over the bottom, outside corners to keep the bottom of the door from flapping in the wind. I was out of town over the weekend. Wind and rain set in and the bottom of the door just slid the pavers off and flapped in the wind. There are already tears where the plastic meets the bottom of the channels because the bottom has nothing to secure it with. I put 3 channels on, one at the top, one at each side. If this system can't take central Texas weather, then it's worthless.

Our high tunnel was delivered on an extra long pallet and since we didn’t have a forklift we removed the plastic overwrap and offloaded it piece by piece. Easy as pie, with just myself and my husband needing to buddy carry the longer metal tube packs off the semi truck. The entire shipment fits in our storage until spring!

Zipper End Wall

I have the single zip end wall. With 1 other person, I even got it installed in 25 mph wind in about 30 minutes. Nice thick material that doesn't flap in the wind. Zipper door also opens and shuts very easily. I got 1 to try before I get one for the other end. Definitely buying a second one.

The Farmers Friend End Wall was very easy to install and with a few sandbags attached to the grommets at the bottom, it was perfect to keep the air out and allowed for easy opening when it got warm.
