Guardian High Tunnel

The Framed Double Zipper End Wall and the DIY End Wall have new 21-ft wide variants that work great with our larger tunnels like the Guardian and the Caterpillar Tunnel Max.

The Guardian High Tunnel only comes in a Gothic (peaked) roof style. We currently do not have plans to offer a Classic option in the future.

It depends on the width of your pathways. You can comfortably fit 6 beds with 12” pathways, and you could even manage to fit 7 beds with 8.5” pathways if you think the juice is worth the squeeze.

No. But each Guardian will include several extra feet of plastic to give you enough extra wiggle room for easy installation. All of our end wall options will come with enough plastic to complete your door.

Thanks to the thicker diameter pipes, industry leading 14-gauge metal, reinforced wind bracing and trusses, and metal baseboards, the Guardian is our strongest tunnel to date. We routinely hear of Caterpillar Tunnels (our least-permanent tunnels) surviving 50+ mph wind storms, and we have yet to hear of a Haven High Tunnel sustaining any wind damage—despite many being in the path of recent hurricanes—and the Guardian will only exceed those in strength. If you want the absolute highest peace of mind, consider adding concrete to some of your ground posts during installation. The Guardian High Tunnel is shipped on a 4×8 wood­en pal­let via motor freight (an 18 wheel trac­tor trail­er). Depending on the order, some­times mul­ti­ple Guardians can fit on one pallet, and sometimes our longest Guardians may need up to two pallets.

You will receive a pro num­ber for track­ing from Farmers Friend when your ship­ment is picked up from our facil­i­ty. It is rec­om­mend­ed that you con­tact the car­ri­er pri­or to deliv­ery to make arrange­ments for time and date. There is some flex­i­bil­i­ty in date and time of deliv­ery, but cus­tomers in remote areas should accept deliv­ery at the car­ri­ers con­ve­nience to avoid exces­sive delays or extra charges.

Prior to mov­ing or unload­ing, please take pic­tures of the order. This is in case items are miss­ing or dam­aged we have a way to ver­i­fy con­tents and con­di­tion. We rec­om­mend con­duct­ing an inven­to­ry of the ship­ment with your includ­ed pack­ing list as soon as pos­si­ble after unloading.

As far as unload­ing, it is the cus­tomer’s respon­si­bil­i­ty. The car­ri­er will not have a fork­lift to unload. A fork­lift or trac­tor with forks is not required, as the ship­ment can be unloaded by hand with two peo­ple. Simply break the bands, and/or and remove the plastic pack­ag­ing. The indi­vid­u­als unload­ing should be capa­ble of team-lift­ing 130 pounds. Out of con­sid­er­a­tion for the car­ri­er, we request you pre­pare to unload as quick­ly as possible.

Farmers Friend will not autho­rize the use of any lift­gate ser­vices, and they are not includ­ed in any ship­ping charges, nor is it includ­ed with free ship­ping. If the local ter­mi­nal or dri­ver offers lift gate ser­vices, do not accept them for any rea­son as there will be an addi­tion­al charge billed to you from Farmers Friend at $100.

To take advantage of this extended warranty, we kindly request that you complete a simple product registration process. Rest assured, the registration process is straightforward and hassle-free. All we require is your contact information, purchase details, and a few photographs of your high tunnel. This can be completed here.

Activate your ten-year warranty by visiting our website or contacting our dedicated customer service team. Our professional and friendly representatives will guide you through the registration process, ensuring a seamless experience. Please have your high tunnel photographs ready for submission. The registration process must occur within 60 days of installation.

Once your high tunnel is registered, it will be safeguarded against storm damage for the next ten years. This comprehensive coverage encompasses damage caused by strong winds, hailstorms, and other severe weather events. Normal wear is excluded from this coverage.

In the unfortunate event that your high tunnel experiences storm damage, simply reach out to our customer service team to initiate the claims process. Our knowledgeable staff will provide you with the necessary assistance and guidance. When filing a claim, please include detailed information and photographs of the damage incurred. Tunnels with an active storm damage warranty will be eligible for a 50% price reduction for any replacement parts needed to repair the tunnel, plus free shipping. Tunnels without an active storm damage warranty will not be eligible for this discount and replacement parts will be provided at full price.

Upon receipt of your claim, we will meticulously assess the damage based on the photographs provided. If the damage falls within the scope of the warranty, we will promptly proceed with the required repairs or replacement. Labor or crop loss will not be covered. Rest assured, throughout this process we will maintain clear and open communication with you to ensure a satisfactory resolution within these guidelines.

Please note that our warranty is non-transferable and remains tied to the original owner for the duration of the ten-year coverage period. Should you require any clarification or have inquiries regarding the warranty terms, our customer service team is available to assist you.
