Quick-Cut Greens Harvester

Might be a 5 star I just need to get better at using it. Definitely quicker only down side is: not always comfortable, leaves behind residual leaves which turn yellow and then might get picked up on the next harvest. Again might just be my inexperience with the tool as of now

I purchased my first greens harvester over 4 years ago and my farm could not operate without this tool. This is an amazing tool and something every farmer needs in their arsenal. However, the newest version of the greens harvest features replacement parts that are only available from Farmers Friend. This makes things difficult because if i ever were to need a replacement bearing, i would need to order directly from them instead of picking something up from the hardware store. It seems as if their newest harvester model is attempting to reduce the consumers ability to right to repair. For example the most likely part to break on the greens harvester is the joint that connects the blade to the drill. This part is no longer a separate bearing and so if one bearing were to break i would need to order a part replacement directly from farmers friend. This would be okay except for the fact that a small part is $80 which is outrageous. To summarize this is an amazing tool and something i could not live without. However i am extremely disappointed in the outrageous pricing for replacement parts.

I tried this on the very tip of wormwood plants and it didnt work well at all. Works good for its stated purpose though. Well-constructed and assembly is pretty easy.

You have to pay extra for a strap that fits larger batteries; for the price, you'd think it would just come with both size straps. Thicker greens (specifically pea microgreens) are difficult to harvest: I have to shove hard, and it rips some of them out instead of cutting. Also the transition area from the blade to the basket traps material, making it harder to dump out every bit of product and/or clean the basket out thoroughly.

Thank you farmers friend for creating such a product that saves time and money and my efficiency. My farm has gone up dramatically. Thank you very much.

I love this tool. It drastically cuts the time harvesting and allows me more time to get ready for market. The only drawback is the serpentine belt came off a couple of times and it's difficult to get back on right.

Absolute time saver! Quickly harvest greens & microgreens. No more scissors and knives! Regular maintenance, sharp blades is a must for ROI. Make sure to have extra new blades. These blades are nearly impossible to sharpen.
Will probably be investing in a second unit for the spring.

Works as designed. Proper use and maintenance will result in high ROI on this tool.
