Single & Double Zipper doors now available!
End walls don’t have to be fancy to be effective. Our Single Zipper Door offers a wider opening giving you easier access to your plants and increasing ventilation all at the same time. (NOTE: The Single Zipper Door photo below shows the zipper opened only part way — it can open all the way to the peak if desired)
While our Double Zipper Door does have a smaller opening, it still features a very generous 84″ width and height for easy access to your tunnel. Plus the door neatly rolls up out of your way for even easier access.
(Both the Single Zipper Door and the Double Zipper Door are compatible with all Farmers Friend Caterpillar Tunnels, Classic and Gothic)

Repeat Order Door

Love the double zipper door - opens up the tunnel to get equipment into the tunnel. The sides are held in place with stakes and can be folded back to get into the side beds with BCS when prepping the beds in the spring. Will get again when I buy another tunnel

Best airflow solution, annoying materials, 3 year lifespan
2 out of 5 stars
I really like how simple this door is, and how I can leave them open in the hottest part of summer with great airflow through the tunnel. They were also a breeze to install, and are wide enough to roll my Vermont cart through.
However the woven fabric naturally frays and gets caught in the zipper constantly. Incredibly frustrating. The zippers are single stitched and the stitches will inevitable begin to let go of the woven fabric, with no room for repairs. A blown zipper on one door and not the other in a wind storm is a recipe for disaster.
This past summer was my third season with these doors and the deterioration on the south-facing one has been rapid, and is now in shreds. It will need to be replaced for next season.
Given the short lifespan and disposable (non-repairable) nature of the product, it is a pretty expensive investment, but it does have certain advantages within its practical lifespan. I'm just not sure its worth it.
High price for small piece of plastic with no hardware
3 out of 5 stars
For over $300 I would think it would come with at least the brackets and plastic. If fine with not having the lumber for that cost but you can not get those brackets anywhere. $30 worth of brackets would have made a big difference. The zippers have a hard time opening and closing a lot. We avoid using them, I had to trim a little of the plastic around the zipper portion so they wouldn’t jam but still have issues. To me not worth the money but kind of a rock and a hard spot you need an end wall. The videos I watch where they said all kits come with everything you need made me think the end wall would at least have brackets. That is one of the reasons I bought this High tunnel and not the local one which I was planning on. Next one I order will probably be the local company. Farmers friend has great high tunnel but had some issues with short on small parts of the tunnel.
Double zipper end wall

Had a failing zipper on a single zipper end wall. Farmer's said they would replace the complete end even though I wasn't asking them to. Since I had a double zipper on the other end I asked if I could upgrade. No problem they said. Shipped it out very fast with a minimal upgrade charge. Excellent service!

The zipper doors wear down quickly and become difficult to open/close. The thread across the flap of the zipper track comes undone and bits get stuck in the zipper.

WILL NOT withstand a Canadian prarire winter

I bought this as the alternative to the dutch door, not being about to justify another $1K plus the 30% exchange from USD to CAD after purchasing the tunnel itself. This double zipper end wall will soon be garbage after less one year in use. It's been beaten up so badly by the wind over the winter- the zippers unzipped in the wind and the pockets where the poles insert to keep it weighted down have worn through in spots, so the pole no longer stay inside. The zippers often jam on the backing of the zippers themselves.
I'm disappointed that this is the weakest part of my tunnel. I bought the wind bracing for fear the tunnel would be picked up by the wind but it has stood strong. I was happy to see the hardware to frame the zipper doors but I'm beginning to doubt there will be anything substantial left of the end wall to secure.
Trudging through the snow many times over the winter to close the zippers was so defeating, knowing I wouldn't be able to rely on it to protect my spring plants, my tunnel is no longer a season extender without a reliable end wall that stands up to wind. I'm not sure what to do at this point.
Don't waste your money to buy these end walls if you live where it is windy. They are not meant to withstand strong winds.
Hi Ashley,
Thank you for your honest feedback. We're sorry to hear about your challenges with the Double Zipper End Wall. If you haven't already, I suggest you try adding stakes or anchors through the grommets at the bottom as a first step to reduce stress to the door. Considering the intense winds you get, you also may want to consider adding the “hardware only” kit from our Framed Double Zipper Door product which would add a lot of structural support to your end wall and help it last even longer in your climate. Lastly, our Zipper Door End Walls do come with a 1-year warranty, so please reach out if it doesn’t last—we're here to help with an exchange or refund!
